Last night, at around 18:30 as daylight began to fade, the team was called to assist two walkers who had become uncertain of their location while making their way back after a day in the hills.
Following a conversation with the walkers and with the help of some technology, we were able to establish their location in the Crooked Clough area. Two team parties were deployed and escorted them safely off the hill.
As we move further into autumn, daylight hours are becoming noticeably shorter. If you're heading into the hills, it's worth carrying a torch or headtorch, even for shorter afternoon outings, as plans and timings can often change.
A big thank you to all team members who responded.
